HV046 Chihei Hatakeyama - Journey To The End Of August
"This work began production in December 2015. Originally I did not think about the composition of the album, I was just recording some analog synthesizer and guitar drones.
At that time I was listening to the Eliane Radigue and I was repeating the experiment of overlaying the guitar on the drones made with analog synths.
The time passed, the end of the summer of 2016. Tokyo's summer of that year was hotter than normal and humidity was high. The studio uses air conditioners, but it still feels hot.
At that time, I thought of overlapping overdubs on some of the works in December 2015. That song is "Journey to the End of August".
In addition, time passed, I recorded "MoonRight" in October of 2017. And the idea of the album was collected at the end and it recorded "Cluster Amaryllis" at last."

この作品は2015年の12月から制作を始めた。当初はアルバムの構成は考えておらず、アナログシンセサイザーとギタードローンを使った録音をしていた。
その当時はエリアーヌ・ラディーグをよく聞いており、アナログシンセで作るドローンにギターを重ねる実験を繰り返していたのだった。
時は過ぎ、2016年の夏の終わりのこと。その年の東京の夏は平年より暑く、湿度は高かった。スタジオではエアコンを使っているのだが、それでも感じる暑さ。
その時、2015年の12月の録音の中からいくつかの作品にオーヴァーダブを重ねる事を思いついた。その曲が『Journey to the End of August』である。
さらに時は過ぎ、2017年の10月に『MoonRight』を録音した。そしてアルバムの構想はまとまり最後に『cluster amaryllis』を録音したのだった。
